The Main Library on Shuguang Road, built in 1998, is the largest modern cultural construction project in Zhejiang Province. With a total investment of 200 million yuan, it covers an area of 62.872 mu (equal to 1/15 of a hectare), a building area of 34,000 square meters, a 500-seat lecture hall and a 700-square-meter exhibition hall. The building area implements integrated intelligence and automated management, thus creating a beautiful and comfortable reading environment and cultural exchange place for readers, laying a solid foundation for facing the new century, realizing the comprehensive modernization and di- gitalization of the library and better serving the construction of civilization.
